Astro Gathering: Stronger Bonds, Greater Goals

Organizations require teams with strong teamwork, as this is one of the keys to success. With teamwork, goals can be achieved more easily, tasks can be completed efficiently, and employees can get to know each other better. However, most of the time, we are focused more on completing our individual tasks, and we rarely meet one another because some of us work in the office, while others work from home with a different schedule. This causes our relationship to drift further away from each other. Therefore, Astro held a gathering that served as a fun and memorable opportunity to reconnect. 

From this gathering, we attempt to create memorable memories and do fun activities with everyone. Its purpose was to strengthen teamwork, improve communication, and develop problem-solving skills. Most importantly, this gathering has two main purposes: Stronger Bonds, Greater Goals. Organized by Biro Psikologi Nusara, the event was held on August 30th at Forest Hills Kutanangka, Pangalengan.

Before the gathering started, we went to Pangalengan together. After reaching the destination, we had a short briefing and a snack time, followed by a group photo session. The gathering officially began with fun games and a short exercise. After that, we formed four groups to play a team game. Before we played the game, each member from each group introduced themselves to get to know each other. Furthermore, each group also discuss the yel yel, then we finally play team games.

After all the tiring and fun games, we take a break and talk together during our lunch time. Then, we continue to play another team game and followed by a treasure hunt challenge where we discuss clues to proceed to the next game. Furthermore, each group build a tower of dreams, which we create the tower with straws and a philosophical meaning behind the tower creation.  In the end, each group presents the tower of dreams' meaning.

The final session included an award ceremony recognizing the best group, the best yel-yel, and the MVP (Most Valuable Player). This was followed by a reflection session, where everyone wrote down their thoughts about the gathering and shared them with others. We then closed the day with one last group photo in Pangalengan before packing up and heading home.

Through this gathering, Astro is expected to have better teamwork and cooperation. Not only that, this gathering will bring us closer to each other, especially during work time. Although work is important, a gathering like this can be a motivational booster and clear our minds. Not only that, but spending quality time with our loved ones gives us memorable memories that we can cherish in the future. With this gathering, we hope Astro will continue to achieve its two main objectives: Stronger Bonds, Greater Goals.
